Top director blames upcoming actor for movie debacle

It is not very often you hear directors speaking openly about the movie failures so it is refreshing when a top director like Gautam Menon speaks his mind with no pressure of hurting sentiments of any actor’s.

Gautam Menon is without any doubt one of the top most critically acclaimed name in South India among the directors. But when it comes to Hindi films he has been a huge failure with absolutely no recognition at all. His last film Ek Diwaana Tha, remake of Ye Maya Chesave was a washout there. When asked the reason for the failure the director simply pointed out at the lead actor of the film. He said that Prateik Babbar was unfit for the film.

Looking at the way some of his contemporaries have scored big success the director says that he would be for sure making a Hindi film in future but that time it will be with a top actor for sure, he confirmed.
