Yash‘s most anticipated film Toxic directed by Geetu Mohandas, is all set to hit the screens tomorrow and with only a few hours left until the release, the pre-bookings for the film are now happening at a fast pace.
Since the announcement, this film has had massive expectations among the audience, as Toxic is Yash’s immediate film after the blockbuster KGF franchise.
According to reports, Toxic is doing record-breaking numbers in pre bookings, especially in the North Indian states and Karnataka. However, in Tamil Nadu, even though the pre-bookings were not up to expectations, with just average bookings, Toxic’s opening day advances in Tamil Nadu are trending better than Suriya’s recently released film Vishwanath and Sons’ opening day advances.
Meanwhile, in North India, Toxic has already surpassed the advance ticket sales of Dhurandhar and the film is all set to open with record-breaking collections there.
In response to the surprising pre-booking trends of Toxic in Tamil Nadu, many trade experts suggest that Tamil audiences are unpredictable. They claim that if Toxic opens to positive reviews, it will do wonders at the box office in the state.
They point to Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 released in 2022, which was a massive success in Tamil Nadu, with its Tamil version alone collecting more than 100 crores at the box office. They claim that if Toxic satisfies the expectations of the Tamil audience, it could even surpass the collections of many top Kollywood stars in the state, suggesting that Yash has earned a huge fan base in Tamil Nadu through the KGF franchise.
Ultimately, it remains to be seen whether Toxic satisfies the expectations of the audience and emerges as a huge blockbuster success upon its release tomorrow.
