Trivikram’s massive mythological pan India project ‘God of War‘ has been surrounded by controversy for quite some time, mainly because of the confusion over who the lead actor is going to be. This film was expected to be announced officially in the first quarter of 2026. But there is complete silence as of now.
Initially, the role reportedly went to Allu Arjun. However, at the last moment the project is said to have moved to Jr NTR. NTR liked the script and even started preparing for the role. But after a few months, rumors began circulating that he had stepped away from the project. Following that, the story reportedly returned to Allu Arjun, and several media reports claimed that he had agreed to do the film.
Soon afterward, another round of speculation emerged stating that Jr NTR might again take up the project as he has no confirmed project after Dragon whereas Allu Arjun is committed to doing Lokesh Kanagaraj project after Atlee’s film. Despite these repeated discussions, the makers have not officially confirmed who will ultimately play the lead role. For now, the conversation seems to keep revolving only around Allu Arjun and Jr NTR. No other major hero’s name has seriously entered the discussion.
Because of this complex situation, industry people believe that Trivikram Srinivas himself is caught in a difficult position. Until one of the two stars firmly commits to the film, the director may not be able to make a formal announcement. The project appears to be stuck in a dilemma between the two actors.
At present, Trivikram Srinivas is focusing on Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutumbam House No. 47. It can be assumed clarity about the mythological project will likely emerge only after this Venkatesh film releases. Until then, speculation about whether Allu Arjun or Jr NTR will headline the ambitious pan India project is expected to continue.
