The Telugu film industry is heavily dependent on star directors like Rajamouli and Sukumar to deliver consistent successes, and it has been the case for nearly half a decade now. Koratala Siva was reasonably successful with Devara but that wasn’t sufficient enough to catapult something big.
This has no naturally open the doors for Trivikram to capitalise, and he really needs to hit it really big starting very soon. For now, he is occupied with the collaboration with Venkatesh, which is going to be a family oriented film.
Next Trivikram must definitely look at top tier commercial cinema like his contemporaries Rajamouli and Sukumar.
People might underestimate the ability of Trivikram to make big scale event films, but he is an outrageously talented writer. It is just that his recent films have been lacking the true brilliance of his pen power.
If Trivikram can really lock in and come up with a big scale mythological film, then is the limit. The kind of knowledge he has on this matter, and the natural seniority of filmmaking can amalgamate to deliver a recipe for tremendous success.
It is time for Tollywood to put its hand up and the big league of directors to take the responsibility of driving the new big skill entertainment. So this is where Trivikram will have to start firing big time.
