Watch: Trivikram Coming Back To Allu Arjun Dropping NTR‘s Film?

Bunny Vas interview about Trivikram and Allu Arjun

M9 News journalist Nishant sat down with producer Bunny Vas ahead of the release of Mithra Mandali, which hits theatres on October 16. The conversation covered everything from box office clashes to OTT penalties and industry buzz.

“Mithra Mandali is that kind of film with no logic, only magic. You watch it with a free mind. It’s like giving exercise to your face and abdomen muscles with laughter,” said Bunny Vas while describing the film’s mood.

He discussed why releasing films during the dry Diwali season can still make sense. “Coming in competition helps as it draws some attention. The better film will survive. But multiple good films affect each other, like it happened with Amaran, KA, and Lucky Bhaskar,” he explained.

Bunny Vas also revealed how OTT platforms now penalise producers with a 15–20% cut if a film misses its announced digital release date. This growing trend, he said, puts extra pressure on filmmakers to deliver on schedule.

He added that OTT platforms now link licensing prices to a film’s box office performance. They assess real earnings, ignoring fake collection posters, before finalising deals. This shift is forcing producers to focus more on authentic box office numbers.

During the chat, Bunny Vas shared insights about Allu Arjun’s next film with Atlee, his shooting experience in Mumbai, and how the actor continues to evolve with every project.

Finally, we asked him about the strong rumour that director Trivikram is returning to work with Allu Arjun after dropping the proposed project with NTR.
