Tamil star Ajith Kumar’s latest film Pattudala (Tamil title – Vidaamuyarchi) directed by Magizh Thirumeni and featuring Trisha as the lead actress, is gearing up for release under the Lyca Productions banner.
The film has completed its censor formalities with a U/A certificate and is trying hard to generate hype through regular promotional material.

Despite the efforts, the Telugu version Pattudala seems to be struggling to gain any buzz. Distributed by Asian Suresh Entertainments and Sri Lakshmi Movies in the Telugu regions, the film has failed to capture the audience’s interest.
While Ajith once had a decent market in Tollywood with hits like Prema Lekha and Gambler, his recent ventures haven’t made much impact, and Pattudala appears no different.

Promotional content, including teasers and songs, hasn’t sparked excitement in Telugu audiences. Advance bookings are reportedly low, with predictions suggesting that the film may not even cross the ₹1 crore mark on its opening day in Telugu states. In contrast, Ajith’s star power in Tamil Nadu is expected to ensure strong openings there.
Once again it is proved, Tamil stars can’t guarantee any box office in Telugu these days. Even Suriya and Vikram lost their market, though they are still better than Ajith.
