Three ambitious films are carrying big budgets, heavy VFX work and plenty of expectations, but one thing is still missing – a clear release date.
Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara, Nikhil Siddhartha’s Swayambhu and Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma have all reached a stage where release planning has become a waiting game. Vishwambhara has been in the making for a long time, while Swayambhu already moved from February to April and still remains without a date. Vrushakarma, meanwhile, has also been linked to different release windows without anything being officially locked.
So, what is actually happening?
The common factor is the scale of these films. VFX is not a small finishing job here. It is central to the films, and rushing the post-production could directly affect the final output. With big budgets involved, the makers have little room to take that risk.
We can understand the trouble. When a film depends heavily on VFX, quality has to come first, and postponing once to get the work right is completely understandable. But repeated delays can start testing the patience of audiences and create uncertainty around the film.
A postponement can be justified. But when it happens multiple times, the question naturally shifts from “Why the delay?” to “When is this film actually coming?”
