The makers of Waltair Veerayya have dropped the trailer of the film a short while ago. It largely banks on the characterizations of Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja.
The director Bobby tries to tap into the comical side of Chiru from Shankar Dada days. He tries to explore the mass side as well, with multiple mass dialogues.
The getup reminds us of Muta Mesthri, the comic dialogues of Shankar Dada MBBS, looks of Khaidi No 150, and Body language of Andarivadu. The movie result will depend on the way how audience receive the present Chiranjeevi in the olden days form. But Bobby is confident.
Chiru is seen as a drug smuggler in a sea backdrop. Ravi Teja is seen as a police commissioner. The interesting thing here is that they are pitted against each other which is the fresh angle.
The dialogue exchange towards the end with reference to Chiru and Ravi Teja’s blockbuster films looks fun.
The BGM by DSP is mostly based on the Boss Party song and it has a good vibe. The frames look grand and Mythri Movie Makers appear to have mounted the film on a grand scale.
Waltair Veerayya is set for theatrical release on the 13th of January. The Pre-release event of the film is happening tomorrow in Vishakapatnam.
