The release date for ‘War 2’ is not certain now. It was slated for release on the 14th of August this year but now it might be postponed. Hrithik Roshan has faced some injuries during shooting and the shoot will lag further.
There is a possibility that Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie might want to take the chance and be released at that slot. 14th August is a very lucrative time to have one’s movie released. And Independence Day can not go without having a pan-Indian film.

It will be better for Coolie to be released at that time because its poster, teaser, song have been released and the hype is already huge. War 2, on the other hand, does not even have a poster revealed as of now. And it can afford to be postponed.
But both films have pan Indian hype and they will like to avoid a clash. It has previously happened with Pushpa 2 as well and its Independence Day release was postponed to Christmas.

There will be reshoots and post-production works for War 2, so it will be better for both the movies is War 2 leaves the 14th August slot and Coolie is released at that time.
