Next-Gen Producers M9 News Roundtable Interview

M9 News has come up with a very interesting Round Table last year with Top Producers – Dil Raju, Naga Vamsi, Mythri Ravi Shankar, and TG Vishwa Prasad. The Round Table video was a blockbuster and amassed about 2.5 Lakh Views so far and is appreciated by many in the industry.

This year Roundtable is with Next-Gen Producers – Bunny Vas, Harshith Reddy, Sahu Garapati, and Sudhakar Cherukuri to understand the problems faced by the industry.

They also have a very interesting lineup of films – Allu Arjun – Trivikram film, Gamechanger, Chiranjeevi – Anil Ravipudi Film, and Chiranjeevi – Srikanth Odela film and we could even know small updates about the film.

M9 News Journalist Nishant asked the Producers about the Single Day Highest Expense of their films so far. “What is the highest single day expense of Gamechanger?,” He asked Harshith Reddy who happens to be Dil Raju‘s kin.

“I am with Gamechanger team till 2022,” Harshith said and revealed a mind-boggling number and it happened to be for a song shoot.

We also spoke about how the OTT Market is going to be a lot better the next year. Sahu Garapati revealed about Flipkart planning to come with a OTT Platform.

Bunny Vas had a simple layman explanation about why the producers can not reduce remunerations despite the bad market conditions and how a producer has to ready to spend 70 Crore if a film is 50 Crore Budget on Paper.

We asked them about if the 1200-1500 Rupees Tickets for Pushpa 2 are justified. On expected lines, Bunny Vas came up with an argument to justify and other producers also had their own answers.

For the question about Helpers coming with Mumbai Heroine costing 60-70K Per Day, Producer Sahu Garapati said how they will not work unless their own staff are accommodated and Bunny Vas revealed some more interesting numbers.

We mentioned about Madras High Court refusing to Ban the YouTube Public Talks and asked them if they are really impacting movie results. Harshith Reddy said it is the reason for the Average class of films disappearing.

What is the Minimum marketing cost to release a film in Hindi? Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri is the right person to answer this question. He revealed how much he spent on releasing Dasara in Hindi and how the charges of marketing a film is 4X and 5X more than here.




Many believe that bring 8 Weeks OTT Rule is the only way to resurrect the Theatrical market. PVR did it in Hindi. Producers Sahu Garapati and Bunny Vas say PVR has started trying to bring the same rule in Telugu as well.
