Where’s the Problem With Surender Reddy?

When Surender Reddy arrived with Athanokkade in 2005, it seemed like Tollywood has got its own John Woo or Michael Bay. But his subsequent films couldn’t create any impact.

In 2009 he made a solid comeback with KICK and since then he has delivered only 1 successful film, Racegurram. Dhruva and Sye Raa were appreciated but couldn’t achieve the HIT status.

The talk in the industry is that Surender Reddy is technically a sound director but he is too slow and not aggressive. His laid-back attitude at making films is leaving him way behind in the race.

Surender Reddy has all the qualities of making entertaining commercial films that can impress even the pan-India audience but his slow and lazy approach is not working in his favor. He needs to buck up and change his working style as soon as possible.

He is now coming up with another stylish action thriller with Akhil Akkineni titled Agent. The teaser of the film was impressive and we have to wait and see if the film is entertaining like Kick and Race Gurram or if is it just another film with all style and no substance.
