Mookuthi 2: Disaster Talk for Nayanthara After Trailer

Mookuthi Amman 2 Trailer Draws Criticism

Recently, the trailer for Nayanthara‘s upcoming film Mookuthi Amman 2: Mahasakthi directed by Sundar C, was released and is going viral on social media with negative responses from audiences.

Since Mookuthi Amman was a huge hit, its sequel, Mookuthi Amman 2, was made on a massive budget. However, because the sequel was not directed by RJ Balaji, who directed the original film, it lacked hype among the audience.

After watching the trailer, many viewers suggested that Mookuthi Amman 2 seems to have no connection to the original part, feeling more like an outdated devotional film. They also noted that the glimpse of VFX sequences featured in the trailer was poor and looked like an old video game.

Furthermore, viewers claim that Mookuthi Amman 2 is a potential disaster, suggesting that Sundar C made a huge mistake by committing to this project, as they feel it is far from his usual style of films.

Meanwhile, some people are criticizing music composer Hiphop Tamizha, claiming that the trailer’s background score is almost similar to the track from Karuppu, composed by Sai Abhyankkar. Consequently, they argue that Hiphop Tamizha put no effort into the project and has just copied Karuppu’s background score.

Ultimately, with the terrible negative reception of the trailer, the success of Mookuthi Amman 2 now relies solely on word of mouth. Since it is releasing alongside Suriya’s Scene and the most anticipated pan Indian film Ramayana on November 6th for Diwali, only positive word of mouth can save it; if the film fails to satisfy viewers, it will end up as a huge financial loss for the production house.

Therefore, it remains to be seen whether Mookuthi Amman 2 will satisfy the expectations of the audiences and emerge as a surprise blockbuster upon its release on November 6th.
