Akhil Akkineni’s Agent was proposed to have a pan Indian release on the 28th of April. But the Hindi release plan got cancelled later and there was no Hindi promotional material that was unveiled.
When asked about the same by M9.news in a chitchat, Akhil and Co had an interesting response.
“Agent’s 28 April release plan is an excellent release date in the Telugu states. But in Hindi, it’s not all that appeasing. There’s a Salman Khan film releasing the previous weekend. So we decided against the Hindi release on 28 April” Akhil said.
Akhil added about how it’s really tough to finalize one single optimal release date for a film in universal langauges.
Akhil stated that the film will indeed release in Malayalam language on the 28th of April which qualifies for a multilingual release.
“I am confident of the content. I believe the movie works at the Pan-India level even with a delayed release like Kantara. The stunts and the scale of the film will be Hollywood level. This is my most satisfying film till date and I enjoyed the journey thoroughly even though it is exhausting,” Akhil added.
The director Surender Reddy also interesting revealed about him getting hospitalised after contracting Covid while filming Agent in Budapest.
Agent is now up for release on the 28th of April in Telugu and Malayalam. The film is directed by Surender Reddy.
