Pooja Hegde recently appeared in an interview for Filmfare. She opened up about her views on the film family background of many Bollywood celebrities and how it helps them in their career.
She shared how it is very easy for a star kid to approach a filmmaker because they have known them all their lives and have good ties. Meanwhile an outsider might contact them for years and still not get any response.
She said that even today the case is the same with her. She has spent many years in the industry but being an outsider has become a tag she can’t get rid of easily.
Netizens felt that she might be talking about the leading film banners that only cast star kids in big roles. Even Pooja had to herself take minor or side roles in films where star kids were in lead roles.
Pooja was recently seen in Deva which didn’t perform well and her role was minor compared to lead star Shahid Kapoor. She has been struggling to establish herself in the entertainment industry with back to back flops in South Indian film industry and Bollywood.
