Why review of big film changed from 2 1/2 to 3 1/2?

Sometimes a reviewer rating as an expert might be totally different from the popular choice of the common audiences. For some films where critics have given very poor ratings, it’s no big surprise that might have fared very well at the box-office. Freedom of opinion and diversity of thoughts come into play in such instances.

But interestingly a popular daily had changed its ratings after a couple of days of the film’s release. Initially the expert reviewer rated it with two and a half stars but later the newspaper disowned the rating and changed it to three and a half stars with a note saying that the rating was revised based on reader’s feedback and research.

This film happens to be Kangana Ranaut’s latest well received venture ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and the popular daily is Mumbai Mirror. May be this is the first of its kind to change initially given rating. However, this is a kind of curbing freedom of expression of an expert who watches film not as common audience but keeping some technicalities in mind. Don’t you agree?
