Why top stars avoiding media?

It was a great treat for NTR’s fans to watch his personal interview by writer Vakkamtham Vamsi on the auspicious day, Shivaratri making the happiness increase in manifold for die-hard fans. After much time, audiences have seen NTR promoting his film full-fledgedly in the interview. But this interview focusses on various other issues regarding media promotions.

It is very common for stars to arrange for interviews and interact with media to promote their films big way. But recently a new trend has emerged and instead of arranging for media interviews; stars like Nagarjuna for Manam, Venkatesh for GG and Pawan Kalyan for AD and GG, have themselves planned for an interview with an anchor of their choice or a director or writer as an interviewer and circulated the CD of the interview to different channels for telecast.

The latest, NTR’s interview was also shot the same way and was telecasted in almost all the leading channels. In these kind of interviews, the stars choose their questions to be posed and hence there is no scope for any kind of controversial questions. Presently a debate is going on in the industry if the stars are becoming media shy to face variety of questions from media persons. Why aren’t they interacting with the media directly instead of personalised interviews? Open interview would have been even more effective opine the film critics.
