Dulquer Salmaan has emerged as a promising actor of the new generation. He gained a formidable following in the South with films like Bangalore Days, Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante, and Sita Ramam. Dulquer has also been trying to make a mark in Bollywood, but most of his attempts have been failures.
Now he is coming up with a web series on Netflix titled, Guns and Gulaabs, created by The Family Man and Farzi fame Raj & DK. The web series, which depicts the nostalgic tales of romance of the 1990s with crime and action, looks promising, going by its trailer.
If Dulquer is expecting that this series will catapult him into the league of stars in Bollywood, then he is definitely wrong. But the series, if it turns out to be good, will surely expand his reach among the Hindi audience. His visibility will increase for sure.
But Dulquer needs to be careful about not falling into the rut of OTT shows and movies. He needs to plan something exciting for the big screen as well to emerge as a pan-India star.
