This isn’t new. Take Pushpa — a film that was tailor-made for Mahesh Babu. But he wasn’t convinced by the rustic tone and raw styling. Sukumar then took the same script to Allu Arjun, and the rest is history.
Bunny’s performance launched him into pan-India stardom. It was a turning point that changed his career forever.

Similarly, Pokiri was first offered to Pawan Kalyan. But when Mahesh Babu took it up, it turned him into an unstoppable mass hero.
The most iconic example? Khaidi. It was originally planned with Superstar Krishna. But it eventually went to Chiranjeevi, and that one film redefined his career and gave birth to the legendary “mass Chiru” image.
Now, Peddi seems to carry that same storm. With a March 27, 2026, release locked in and buzz scaling new heights, it might just become Charan’s next defining moment.
And if it turns into a blockbuster, NTR may be watching from the sidelines, and the regret might go deeper with time. Another missed opportunity could well turn into box office gold for someone else.
