There is a dearth of heroines in Tollywood for sure. Especially when the top most heroines like Samanta, Tamanna, Shruti Haasan are shuttling between Tollywood and other film industries, Tollywood needs more heroines because the number of films made in Tollywood is considerably very high, almost in par with the number of films made in Bollywood. Slowly new pretty faces like Regina Cassandra and Rakul Preet Singh are increasingly in demand for medium budget films. Just one hit film ‘Venkatadri Express’ for Rakul, presently her kitty is full with half a dozen movies. Critical acclaim for Regina in ‘Kotha Janta’ gave her a chance with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and a couple of other projects too.
On the same lines, Raashi Khanna who made her film debut with Bollywood hit movie ‘Madras cafe’ is awaiting the release of her first debut film ‘Oohalu Gusa Gusalaade’ in Tollywood. She is very excited as she is confident on the script and also has immense faith on the producer of the movie who earlier produced a block buster like ‘Eega’. The film happens to be the maiden directorial venture for actor turned director Avasarala Srinivas too. Lead actor Naga shourya too is making his debut with this movie. Even before the release of her debut movie in Telugu, Raashi has completed shooting for her second film ‘Joru’ opposite Sandeep Kishan. Hope Raashi Khanna too joins the league of Regina and Rakul.
