Yash’s No Beard Look: Desperate or Warning to Haters?

Yash’s New Look in Toxic

The teaser of Toxic starring Yash is finally out. However, it has received a mixed response from viewers across social media platforms.

Many users are trolling the teaser for scenes that appear heavily inspired by Hollywood films. Instead of focusing on strong dialogues or supporting characters, the teaser largely highlights Yash through repeated elevation shots.

Some fans feel this approach was intentional. They believe the teaser was designed to send a message to the makers of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, as both films are releasing on the same date.

A major talking point is Yash’s new look. He appears with short hair and no beard, which surprised many fans who associate him with his rugged style.

Several viewers felt the look resembled Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. Without his signature beard, some even found Yash difficult to recognise.

The action sequences have also drawn criticism. A brutal chainsaw scene reminded many of Marco, leading to comparisons and claims of borrowed ideas.

The teaser further hints at the presence of sexual scenes in the film. This has raised questions about the creative choices of director Geetu Mohandas.

Some viewers found it unusual that a woman director is presenting scenes perceived as objectifying women. This aspect has added to the ongoing debate around the teaser.

Fans of Kiara Advani are also unhappy. None of the five heroines were shown in the teaser, which led to visible disappointment online.

Many expected at least a brief glimpse of the female leads. Instead, the teaser remained completely centred on Yash.

Overall, the teaser has failed to impress a large section of the audience. With such a divided response, Toxic is expected to face stiff competition from Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge at the box office.
