North America distributor of Pawan Kalyan’s OG, Prathyangira Cinemas, has landed in legal trouble. York Cinemas, a popular Indian movie theater chain in Canada, has openly warned of taking legal action against the distributor.
York Cinemas took to their social media page and made a strong statement. They said that they are already working with their legal team regarding the release of OG, as Prathyangira has not confirmed the screening with them despite earlier assurances.
Their post further added, “We will keep you updated on the outcome. In case this issue cannot be resolved, your ticket amount will be fully refunded. Please rest assured, we will no longer be working with this distributor in the future to avoid such disruptions.”
With this, York Cinemas made two things very clear. One, they are going legal against Prathyangira. Two, they will not continue their partnership with the distributor in the future.
This is not the first time York Cinemas has come out in public against Prathyangira. In the past too during Pushpa 2 release, they revealed their financial differences with the same distributor. Now, fans and industry watchers are waiting to see how these disputes will affect the release of OG in Canada.
