
More than 700 children aged 6-14 years old, and their parents were inquired in this study. In late 2014, 88% of the children questioned watched television daily, 66% used the internet and 36% listened to the radio and only 7% of the group used on-demand online sites.
The study had indicated the growing popularity of internet particularly Youtube in children. Cartoons, Animal shows and sports were the favourite TV shows of the Children which also remained popular items on Youtube. While the researchers say there is no immediate threat to TV, coming years we will definitely see Youtube replacing them for kids.
