100 Crore at Stake for Kadapa MLC Election

YSR Congress and Telugu Desam Party had taken the upcoming Kadapa MLC Election as a matter of prestige. The ruling party is keen on defeating Opposition Leader Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Uncle, YS Vivekananda Reddy in his home turf while YSR Congress is focused on stamping its authority.

As much as 100 Crore is at stake in this one seat as both the parties are keen on spending any amount to win the seat. B.Tech Ravi is contesting against Viveka in this seat. He is the TDP candidate against YS Vijayamma, the mother of Jagan Mohan Reddy, in the 2011 by poll in Pulivendula.

There are 818 local body representatives, who are eligible to vote for this MLC election. These representatives include ZPTCs, MPTCs, corporators and municipal councillors. While YSR Congress has clear edge according to the original numbers, TDP is claiming the support of 452 members which will win the seat easily.
