Andhra Pradesh government has announced that the recently concluded Partnership Summit has got MOUs worth 10.6 Lakh Crore for the states. This is the quantum of investments proposed for the state in this summit which went on for two days in Vishakapatnam.

The Partnership Summit coincided with the Special Status Protest which suddenly came out of nowhere. The movement has come as a big boost for YSR Congress which is struggling to find a good issue to counter the government. Even though it is not a movement by the political parties, YSR Congress tried to own it and even Jagan descended to Vizag to rake the issue.
Even though the protest on the streets lasted only for a day, Jagan wants the issue to go on and with which the government is cornered. On the other side, the opposition leader is also worried if this Partnership Summit will divert the attention of the people from the Special Status issue.
Sakshi and some media houses close to Jagan are busy playing down the summit and belittling the quantum of investment proposals. YSR Congress wants to rake the Special Status issue in the upcoming Budget session of Parliament as well so that it will stay in the memory of the public for some more time.
