YSRCP leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy had to face disappointment as Vijayawada’s ACB Court dismissed his bail petition on Monday. It is known that Chevireddy is in remand regarding the Rs 3200 crore AP liquor scam.
The visuals of Chevireddy threatening the police and shouting that YSRCP will come to power on the day of his arrest, are fresh in the minds of Andhra Pradesh citizens.
Meanwhile, non-bailable warrants have been issued on others involved in the liquor scam. SIT had filed a petition asking the Court to issue warrants against the 12, who are absconding.
After the hearing, the Court gave permission to SIT for their arrest. Avinash Reddy, Purushottam, Anirudh Reddy, Sheikh Saif, Easter Kirankumar Reddy, Bollaram Siva, Rajeev Pratap are among those accused.
It is known that as a part of AP liquor scam, various shell companies were floated involving a number of people. Kickbacks were taken from liquor stores and distilleries adding up to Rs 3200 crore.
The main accused Raj Kasireddy, Mithun Reddy are already in jail. There are strong rumours that ex CM Jagan will be arrested anytime soon.
