Andhra Pradesh government had addressed one of the major issues of the farmers who gave their lands for land pooling. Earlier CRDA only allowed G+6 construction in the capital area which may not be commercially viable, farmers lamented back then. Now CRDA decided to allow the construction of maximum 12 floors (G+11) in the residential zone.

However this is allowed only if the developer has a minimum of 2,000 sq.metres of land (1 acre) in his possession. A maximum of G+5 floors will be allowed in an extent of 300-500 sq.metres of land. Similarly, G+3 structures will be allowed on 100-300 sq.metres of land. However the condition to leave at least 40 per cent of the land free of structures will stay.
The government already constituted a committee to finalize the plots that are to be given back to the farmers. The committee will submit its report on lands allotment in 15 days after due consultations with the farmers and other stake holders. CRDA collected about 30000 acres from farmers.
