Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet approves 12 proposals

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved 12 key proposals at its meeting on Wednesday.

The Cabinet approved the Horticulture Information and Management System (APHIMS) at a cost of ₹20.62 crore. The project will be implemented over 72 months.

The government also approved gratuity for eligible ASHA workers who die while in service. They will receive ₹5,000 for every year of service, subject to a maximum of ₹1.50 lakh.

The 30-bed Community Health Centre at Repalle will be upgraded to a 100-bed Area Hospital. The project has been sanctioned ₹58.42 crore, along with 66 additional posts.

The Cabinet approved the 2026-27 Thalliki Vandanam guidelines and administrative approvals. It also approved higher diet charges for welfare hostels and residential schools.

A Centre of Excellence for tribal students will be set up at Marikavalasa in Visakhapatnam. It will provide residential coaching for IIT-JEE and NEET aspirants.

The Cabinet also approved the reclassification of 1.69 acres in Kuppam for a guest house for Kuppam Area Development Authority officials.

Orders for the regularisation of encroachments on unobjectionable government poramboke lands in NTR district were also ratified.

In YSR Kadapa district, 7.66 acres of government land at Pathuru was approved for transfer to the Endowments Department for temple development.

The Cabinet approved the reclassification of 7 acres in Kondapi, Prakasam district, for a boys’ residential school and hostel.

It also approved amendments to the AP Education Act, 1982, along with the New Policy-2026 for foreign university and private university campuses in Andhra Pradesh. The policy covers campus establishment, incentives and infrastructure facilities.

The decisions cover education, healthcare, welfare, agriculture, tribal development and infrastructure, with several measures aimed at strengthening public services across the state.
