The file is now sent back to the Home Ministry and it will be very soon sent for the consent of the President of India which is more or less, a formality. This will mean that one of the major concerns of the employees to shift immediately to Amaravati is addressed. The state government is planning to shift the first batch employees by this June when the Temporary Secretariat will be ready.

Article 371D makes children of AP government employees who are currently studying in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy as ‘local’ students to Telangana. They will become ‘non-local’ when they migrate to Vijayawada and Guntur. As a result, their educational and job opportunities will be affected. So the center’s ratification will now dispel the doubts of the employees who are reluctant to shift to Amaravati.
