Leaders shifting from BRS to Congress show no signs of halting. In the last few months, we have seen many prominent BRS leaders, including MPs and MLAs, switching to Congress.
Now, another MLA joins the list. Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkatrao switched to Congress earlier today. He joined the party in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and cabinet minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Rao.
Along with Venkatrao, his supporters have also joined Congress. With Venkatrao’s shift, no BRS MLAs are left in the united Khammam district. Congress clean-sweeped all constituencies.
There are signs of Venkatrao joining Congress right from the declaration of assembly elections’ results. However, he took five months to join the party officially.
In the last few weeks, we have seen numerous leaders like MLA Kadiyam Srihari, his daughter Kavya, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, former GHMC Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan and Patnam Suneetha Mahender Reddy shifting to Congress from BRS.
