Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has introduced a performance-based ranking system for his Cabinet ministers. The system is designed to ensure accountability and encourage efficiency, with the primary benchmark being the speed of file clearance.
In the first round of rankings, Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu secured the top position. IT Minister Nara Lokesh followed in second place, while Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav ranked third. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha was placed fourth, and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar took fifth. At the bottom of the list were Ministers Kollu Ravindra, Atchannaidu, and Payyavula Keshav.
The Chief Minister made it clear that future rankings will not be limited to file clearances. They will also consider governance impact, public engagement, and overall performance. Chandrababu Naidu, known for his strict discipline and commitment to public service, expects the same level of dedication from his team.
According to officials, the ranking system is meant to foster healthy competition among ministers. It gives them a chance to raise their performance levels and ensure they remain connected with people. Naidu’s approach reflects his belief in delivering promises and driving ministers to push their boundaries for better governance.
