Ashok Gajapathi Raju Sworn as Goa Governor

Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju has been sworn in as Goa Governor on Saturday morning. Mumbai High Court chief Justice Alok Aaradhe conducted the swearing in ceremony at 11.30 am.

The grand event took place at Raj Bhavan Darbar Hall. It was attended by Goa CM Pramod Sawant, members of state Cabinet, Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, AP IT Minister Nara Lokesh, Sandhya Rani, Kondapalli Srinivas and several other TDP MPs.

Incidentally, Ashok Gajapathi Raju is the 20th Governor of Goa. In the past, Ashok Gajapathi Raju held several posts including that of Union Civil Aviation Minister. He also served as a cabinet minister in combined Andhra Pradesh.

Affiliated to the TDP throughout his political career, Ashok Gajapathi Raju resigned from the party as per protocol, after being picked as the Governor of Goa.

Both CM Chandrababu and Nara Lokesh extended their warm wishes to Ashok Gajapathi Raju after the announcement.
