Ashok Gajapathi Raju In Tears: Resigns From TDP

Newly appointed Goa Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju was rather emotional as he resigned from the permanent membership and party politburo of TDP, as a part of protocol.

He sent his resignation letter to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and party president Palla Srinivasa Rao. After visiting Simhadri Appanna along with his family, Ashok Gajapathi Raju signed on resignation papers in the temple.

He asked Chandrababu to accept his resignation. He said he was thankful to TDP for giving him an opportunity to serve people as a leader and politician.

Raju turned emotional as he reminisced his political journey so far. He remembered the time when he first became an MLA in 1978 and visited Simhadri.

He was in tears after resigning from a party that he was associated with for so long. He said that colour yellow stood for purity and he would work in a similar manner.

He shared that he had already spoken to Chandrababu regarding his resignation over the phone.
