Beware, AC May Spread Coronavirus!

AC may also be a carrier of Coronavirus? Reports are that a family that arrived in China’s Guangzhou from Wuhan spread the virus to two other families while dining at a restaurant. According to the Chinese authorities, the virus transmission happened through the AC airflow.

They claim that the virus traveled through the air conditioner duct at the restaurant and infected three families sitting in the vicinity of each other who never engaged with the other. Luckily, there are Seventy-three other diners and staff of the restaurant but they are not infected.

China’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported this in a research paper. This will be a huge concern and people may skeptical about going to the air-conditioned places going forward. In such a case, it is likely to change the pattern of dining and shopping in air-conditioned places in the post-pandemic world.

Across the globe, there are more than 26,00,000 confirmed coronavirus cases and the deaths are around 2,00,000.
