Bhogapuram Airport works are 71% complete, shared Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu. Bhogapuram Airport was the most advanced in the country, the Minister revealed.
The country will have a latest airport, said the Civil Aviation Minister. On Tuesday, Rammohan Naidu visited Bhogapuram Airport. He held talks with GMR officials about the progress.

Speaking on the occassion, Rammohan Naidu said that the Airport was being constructed keeping the future needs in view. He revealed that a ‘kala nilayam’ would come up in keeping with the sentiments of Uttarandhra people.
The Minister said that the Airport would be completed by 2026. Minister Kondapalli, MP Kalisetty Appala Naidu accompanied the Minister.

Alluri Seetaramaraju International Airport, known as Bhogapuram Airport is a greenfield airport under construction in Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district. It is being built to handle wide-bodied crafts.
The Airport is being built by GMR Vizag International Airport Limited. Initially, 60,000 passengers will be able to fly from the airport. At a later stage, the airport is expected to handle 4 crore passengers.
