Ever since the state of Andhra Pradesh has been split into two states, issues regarding the division of various institutions are arising one after the other. The latest being the division of the Hyderabad High Court. The Union government has started initiations by writing a letter to the Supreme court to begin the process.
The Union ministry of Law and Justice’s letter to the apex court in turn had initiated the process and Supreme Court had sent instructions to the Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court. He had to consult his fellow judges before writing his decision or opinion on the division of High Court. Separate High Courts will be formed for both the states.
But here comes in another issue whether the newly formed AP High Court remains in the same premises or moves to some pace in the residue state of AP. As one can see no apt place for setting up a High Court in AP as of now, there is every possibility that HC would remain in Hyderabad for the time being. But will it remain in the same premises or moved to another pace is yet to be decided.
King Koti Palace is being considered for setting up High Court of AP till it moves to AP. But seems Telangana government and KCR aren’t interested to allot the same for the purpose. Even the division of the judges according to AP bifurcation Act remains with the chief Justice of the apex court.
