Income tax department raids were conducted at the homes of Congress leaders yesterday in light of surveys suggesting that Congress would win in Telangana. The IT searches are still ongoing at KLR’s residence in Narsingh today, and the IT team searched until 1 o’clock in the night, confiscating documents found in the house.
This has raised concerns and accusations against the BJP, as neither Modi nor Amit Shah have initiated income tax raids on the Kalvakuntla family, despite their claims of massive corruption in Telangana, or on the houses of TRS leaders in the past ten years.
Similarly, there have been no income tax raids on the homes of Owaisi family members in the past decade, despite allegations of corruption. Amit Shah and Nadda have publicly criticized Jagan’s alleged corruption, but no income tax raids have been conducted on him or his party leaders in the last ten years.
It is being speculated that there will be no income tax raids on KCR, Owaisi, or Jagan, and CBI and ED will not file cases against them. Additionally, it is suggested that previous CBI and ED cases against Jagan will not be allowed to proceed.
These actions have raised concerns that BJP is misusing the systems to target leaders like Chandrababu, who, according to some, have not committed any wrongdoings, leading to his imprisonment with numerous cases.
