India and Bharat are two names that are often interchanged. Well, the latest developments suggest that India could soon be renamed as Bharat officially.
As per the latest updates, the Modi-led government of India is likely bring a resolution in the parliament and enforce the name change.
India could soon be renamed as Bharat. The government plans to bring the resolution in the special parliament session that is to be held from 18 September to 22 September.
The news gained traction when the Rashtrapati Bhavan sent out invitations for the G20 summit with the name “President Of Bharat” instead of “President of India”.
It is reported that the BJP government is firm on renaming India as Bharat and their MPs are to openly welcome the same in the parliament sessions that are to be held on the aforementioned dates.
There are reports that Republic Of Bharat could be a possible name as well.
