Barely a few months after the devastating defeat in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh election, YS Jagan brought up the narrative of Jagan 2.0 and started speaking about his second term as the CM.
Even before assessing the extent and factors for the defeat in 2024, Jagan immediately jumped to the narrative about his second term. He started to vocally reprimand and warn government officials and police officers of brutal consequences once he’s back in power.
This verbal warning from Jagan to the administration and law and order enforcement authorities was dissed by the common public. But it appears that Jagan has somehow managed to inspire neighbouring state party BRS with his narrative.
While speaking with the media today, Harish Rao said certain IPS officers and top police officials are hacking the CCTV cameras near their homes and communicating this information to Revanth Reddy government. He said this group is operating from Bengaluru.
It was all fine till this point, but what followed later is where the issue is. Harish Rao publicly warned police officials and authorities that they would be made to pay the price once KCR becomes CM again.
Much like how YS Jagan says top officials wouldn’t be spared even if they get retired and move elsewhere, Harish Rao said the KCR Government would also not spare anyone. He said top cops will be made to pay the price even after they retire and move away.
Both Jagan and the BRS top brass are carrying the same narrative when it comes to verbal crackdowns on the police department and this is never a good sign in the political equilibrium.
