A BRS MLA attending a meeting chaired by Revanth Reddy on Friday has triggered strong political buzz in Telangana. The Chief Minister was touring the combined Adilabad district at the time.
It is being said that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi top leadership had instructed its leaders to stay away from the Chief Minister’s meetings. Against this backdrop, the presence of a BRS MLA raised eyebrows.
The Korutla MLA’s appearance at CM Revanth Reddy’s meeting surprised both BRS and Congress circles. On Friday, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Sadarmatt project, which is expected to provide water to Korutla in Jagityala district.
According to reports, Korutla BRS MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar attended the meeting to discuss land acquisition funds and canal digging works. These discussions reportedly involved CM Revanth Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy.
However, his move has sparked internal buzz within the pink party. Many see this as a clear act of defiance against party instructions.
Meanwhile, the issue of BRS MLAs defecting remains a sensitive topic in the state. The party’s working president has been sharply criticising the Congress, accusing it of disrespecting democratic processes.
With political tensions already high, this episode has further intensified speculation and debate across Telangana’s political landscape.
