BRS was unstoppable in the ten years of rule after the Telangana formation. KCR was an absolute monarch, KTR had a dream run, and BRS was conquering every bit like there was no tomorrow. But the dream was shattered after the 2023 elections.
BRS is in Opposition and Revanth Reddy whom KCR and KTR hate and underestimate to the core is the Chief Minister now.
Even though it’s been 100 days of rule, they are unable to come to terms with the fact that Revanth Reddy is voted to power.
Everyone thought BRS would have a tough time surviving in the Opposition.
But then, BRS enjoyed power for 10 years, literally emptied the Opposition, and also its financial strength grew multiple folds.
For instance, BRS is the fourth highest in the list of the parties to receive donations through Electoral Bonds.
But then, the fall has come earlier than expected.
MLAs of the party are rushing to Revanth Reddy. Five of its Seven MPs already left. There are no candidates for the parliamentary elections.
BJP also deserted BRS by arresting Kavitha. The next five years are going to be horrible with Revanth Reddy trying for revenge and Modi trying to eat BRS and become Number Two in Telangana.
Many people say BRS has TDP DNA in it. Right from KCR, most of the leaders of BRS are TDP leaders once.
TDP is one political party that faced several problems of existence throughout its journey. But then, it has survived all that due to a hardcore cadre at the grassroots and efficient leadership.
Be it Nadendla Bhaskar Rao’s crisis, be it NT Ramarao’s ousting, and the troubles the party faced during YSR’s regime, bifurcation, and Chandrababu’s arrest recently, TDP successfully mitigated many crises.
Whether BRS really has TDP DNA in it or not will be proved with this!
