The TDP party is confident about securing its first seat in the joint Kurnool district, particularly in the constituency of Dhone. Finance Minister Buggana Rajender Reddy has won this seat twice consecutively and is now aiming for a hat-trick victory.
However, there is a substantial accusation against Buggana that he is not sufficiently accessible to the people in Dhone. Despite his role as the Finance Minister, Buggana is often located either in Amaravathi or New Delhi.
In contrast, TDP in-charge Dharmaram Subba Reddy is actively unveiling the misdeeds of the ruling party and striving to stir a revolution among the populace and TDP members. Subba Reddy successfully organized the Yuvagalam padayatra in his constituency under challenging circumstances, receiving significant praise from Lokesh.
With awareness that his popularity is dwindling in the constituency, Buggana is making efforts to allocate at least 10 days to engage with the people in Dhone. It holds significance for both the KE and Kotla families as well. Historically, both these families have won the Dhone constituency several times after engaging in competitive contests.
After both the KE and Kotla families withdrew from the competition, CBN assigned the TDP ticket to Subba Reddy. If KE and Kotla lend their support to Subba Reddy, TDP could secure a comfortable victory in the Dhone segment. It’s speculated that CBN might visit Dhone in September as part of the TDP’s campaign.
This time, for the Finance Minister, simply securing loans from the RBI might not be enough to ensure victory in Dhone. The political landscape demands a comprehensive effort to win the hearts of the electorate.
