Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao is all set to expand his cabinet for the first time. It is said that KCR had hinted about the expansion on 22nd of this month and reportedly asked some confirmed leaders not to have any other programs that day. It is said that Tummala Nageswara Rao (Khammam) who recently jumped from TDP to TRS, Koppula Eshwar (Karimnagar), Jupalli Krishna Rao, C.Lakshma Reddy (Mahabubnagar) are confirmed to get a berth this time.
However there are at least dozen more TRS leaders including Gampa Govardhan, Konda Surekha, V.Srinivas Goud and others who are strongly lobbying for the cabinet berths. Some of them who are with TRS for a long time are reportedly are not at all happy about KCR giving preferences to recently joined leaders like Tummala and sidelining them. However KCR had already indicated that leaders should make some sacrifices to strengthen the party in the state. Given the majority and popularity KCR currently possess, no one can really question regarding any decision. So the leaders are keen on pleasing him. Currently there are 11 ministers (including KCR) in Telangana cabinet and only 6 more berths are available.
