Late YS Raja Sekhar Reddy’s family are converted Christians. YSR Congress is doing all it can do to lure Christian votes which are decisive in several districts of Coastal Andhra. Vijayamma carrying Bible and Brother Anil Kumar managing Church Fathers to propagate support for YSR Congress are all part of the game. On Friday, Some Church fathers in Guntur district complained to Police that Anil Kumar sent them bibles with 20000 in their covers to brain wash the Church followers to vote for YSR Congress. With conversions more in the Coastal belt, these votes can prove crucial for YSR Congress’ poll prospects.

In order to counter this plan, Telugu Desam Supremo Chandra Babu Naidu is announcing huge sops for Christian community including a special budget. He even promised houses for poor Church fathers. In a recent move, he is bringing in another Christian Evangelist KA Paul in to Telugu Desam Party to split Christian votes.
