When the Central government stepped in to get the Hyderabad Metro Project back into fast track, Mr.Gadgil was missing from the scene and the additional secretary in Union cabinet Secretarial Anil Swaroop held the meeting between ‘T’ chief secretary Rajiv Sharma and Project director M.P. Naidu of L&T (besides other officials).

Mr. Swaroop on the behalf of Central government advised both the parties to maintain restraint and work with complete coordination and cooperation to complete the project within the scheduled time. In addition he advised L&T not to trample upon the state government as it is keen to extend full cooperation to complete the project.

TS government also brought to the notice of Central official how the state is giving priority to the project by giving ‘right of way’ to L&T in the core areas of Hyderabad city by the way of diverting traffic, using extra traffic manual sources for the same and acquiring land for widening the roads to facilitate Metro works by and large.
