Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu joined yoga guru Baba Ramdev at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Vijayawada to celebrate the 12th annual International Day of Yoga.

The mass event was organized as part of the state government’s “Yogandhra” program, an initiative aimed at expanding health and wellness awareness across Andhra Pradesh.

During the mass session, Baba Ramdev guided the 76-year-old Chief Minister through pranayama and various breathing exercises.

While the yoga guru demonstrated a range of advanced, challenging postures, including Chakrasana and Mayurasana, during their weekend collaborations, he highly praised Naidu’s personal stamina, noting that the Chief Minister has consistently maintained a disciplined yoga practice for the past 30 years.

Ramdev publicly commended the veteran leader’s long-term commitment to fitness, calling him a dedicated “Karmayogi”.

Addressing the thousands of participants gathered at the stadium, Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the growing importance of physical and mental well-being in daily life.

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for successfully elevating yoga onto the global stage, allowing it to be celebrated across 190 countries.

Highlighting preventive healthcare, Naidu outlined plans to integrate structured yoga and wellness programs directly into the state’s public healthcare system to inspire a healthier lifestyle for future generations.
