Before arriving at the rehabilitation centre, Chandrababu conducted an aerial survey of the flood-hit regions. He monitored the extent of damage and instructed officials to prioritise rescue and relief operations.

Officials stated that early mobilisation of the state machinery helped prevent heavy loss of life. Chandrababu’s team ensured that people in the path of Cyclone Montha were safely evacuated to shelters before the storm intensified.

The Chief Minister spent several hours in the war room, reviewing updates and issuing directions to officials. Fortunately, Cyclone Montha changed course, averting a major disaster. However, over 18 lakh people have been affected by heavy rainfall triggered by the cyclone.

To aid those impacted, Chandrababu announced Rs 3,000 financial assistance per family, along with 25 kilograms of rice and other essential supplies for all flood-affected households in the region.
