Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has historically been known for his strict approach to administration. Several bureaucrats who have worked with him have spoken about his focus on accountability and implementation.
Now, Chandrababu Naidu has issued a strong warning to officials over road conditions across Andhra Pradesh. He has directed authorities to respond quickly to potholes and damaged roads through the Road Doctor programme.
“From now on, there will be no excuses for bad roads or potholes. If you find poor roads in your area, immediately notify the authorities and we will implement this Road Doctor programme where these roads will be fixed immediately,” Chandrababu Naidu said.
Chandrababu Naidu instructed officials to remain alert and ensure that complaints about roads raised by the public are addressed without delay.
“I have sanctioned enough funds for the officials to look after these roads and repair projects immediately. It is their responsibility to make sure that the roads are fixed on time. If there is any lag in this, they will face the consequences,” Chandrababu Naidu said.
The Road Doctor programme is aimed at providing immediate repairs to potholes and damaged roads. The Chief Minister’s latest warning puts additional responsibility on officials to ensure that road-related complaints are addressed quickly.
The focus on roads comes as the government continues to work on improving road infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu’s latest instructions indicate that the administration wants officials to respond more quickly to problems highlighted by the public.
For the government, the immediate challenge is to ensure that the planned road repairs translate into visible improvements on the ground. The Chief Minister’s warning has put the responsibility directly on officials to complete the work within the required timeframe.
