If the Prime Minister Narendra Modi assigns some task to his alliance partner, Chandrababu Naidu, one can assume it to be the toughest. This time Modi had asked Naidu to convince West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee to vote for NDA’s Presidential Candidate, Ram Nath Kovind.

Mamatha is in Hague, Netherlands after her pet project ‘Kanyashree’ was accorded United Nations’ highest award for public service to the West Bengal government for the scheme initiated to empower the girl child with the education.
Naidu called up Mamata and requested her to support the NDA Candidate. But a tough nut to crack as always, Mamatha did not promise anything to Naidu but only concluded that she will get back to him. Naidu will be pursuing the issue once again after she is back in the country.
This is going to be a tough assignment as Mamatha is at loggerheads with the ruling NDA government on every issue. Immediately after Kovind’s candidature was announced, she claimed that she has never heard of the nominee and termed it a “not so mature” move. It has to be seen if Naidu will be able to pull off a blinder somehow!
