
Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) aspirants have been protesting for the past few days, demanding the postponement of the Group-1 Mains exam, which is scheduled for tomorrow.
The protest escalated today with the arrest of Bandi Sanjay, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and MP from Karimnagar, during his visit to Ashok Nagar, Hyderabad, where he came to show support for the protesting students.

Going into the details, Bandi Sanjay arrived at Ashok Nagar this morning to stand by the students, demanding the government consider their plea to postpone the Group-1 exam.
Later, Sanjay initiated the “Chalo Secretariat” rally, marching from Ashok Nagar to the Secretariat along with the students. The rally turned into an intense protest near the Ambedkar statue at Liberty X Road.

When police officials attempted to arrest Bandi Sanjay, they were initially stopped by the students. This led to a physical clash between the students and the police.
Eventually, the police managed to control the situation and took Sanjay into custody and transported him in their vehicle.

Overall, the Group-1 protests have sparked significant political unrest in Telangana, resulting in a major confrontation between the opposition BJP, BRS, and the ruling Congress party.
