150 years plus Congress Party do not have representation in Andhra Pradesh Assembly right now. The bifurcation ghost haunted them to any extent of becoming Zero in the state. However Congress leaders are leaving no stone unturned to get an entry pass in to the Assembly. While it is customary not to contest an election when a kin of a deceased MLA is contesting the same seat, Congress party has violated it and contested in the Nandigama election. The party just managed to win the deposit but lost the seat with a whopping 75000 odd votes.
And now one more bi-election is coming in AP in Allagadda due to the death of YSRCP candidate Shoba Nagi Reddy. Her daughter Akhila Priya is contesting in the bi-election. But Congress is entering the fray once again. This act of Congress is heavily criticized by all the parties since Congress itself got benefited from this custom several times in the past. They accuse Congress for going shameless for that one seat. The bi-election to Allagadda seat will take place on November 8th. Most probably ruling TDP will not contest the election since YSRCP did not put up their candidate in Nandigama.
